The key to successfully manage and prevent safety and security concerns is in the proper education of those who are to identify, respond to and deal with these problems. The Workthreat Group believes everyone in the organization must become part of the solution. . .otherwise they are part of the problem. This is our direction when assisting in establishing safety and security prevention strategies. Our programs are designed not only for the specific needs of your organization but also for the diverse requirements of employees, supervisors and administrators.

OSHA and other regulatory agencies have indicated that training and education should ensure that all staff of an organization is made aware of potential security and safety hazards and how to protect themselves and their co-workers through established policies and procedures. Further that every employee should understand the concept of "Universal Precautions for Violence," i.e., that violence and disasters should be expected but can be avoided or mitigated through preparation.

The Workthreat Group's training not only addresses these concepts but also includes other topics recommended by current laws and regulatory agencies such as:

• Cultural diversity & sensitivity concerns
• Sexual harassment and domestic violence issues
• Drug/alcohol awareness and prevention programs
• Early recognition of behaviors that may lead to violence
• Importance and methods of natural disaster recognition and preparation

Finally, as per OSHA standards, The Workthreat Group utilizes only qualified trainers that instruct at the comprehension level that is appropriate for all staff, including using Spanish and/or Vietnamese speaking trainers. The training may involve role playing, and/or simulations. The Workthreat Group will also "train the trainers" to ensure the specific future training and assessment needs are being met by the organization.
