Michael H. Corcoran, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael H. Corcoran was in the law enforcement field for over 34 years beginning in 1968 and the threat assessment field since 1970 when he entered the United States Secret Service. Completing his doctorate in 1979 in Behavioral Science, and utilizing his law enforcement experience, he specializes in identifying and handling potentially violent subjects. He does threat assessments, determination of true potentials of violence and criminal profiling for governmental agencies, law enforcement, Fortune 500 companies, school districts and healthcare providers around the world. Maintaining liaison with the intelligence community since 1970, Dr. Corcoran is able to obtain critical information and intelligence concerning terrorists and other “high-risk” developments as well as travel safety details for both foreign and domestic locations.


He has spoken internationally on all these topics, co-authored the text: “Violence Assessment & Intervention, The Practitioners Guide” and has been “voir dired” as an expert witness on identifying violent individuals. Lastly, Dr. Corcoran co-founded Henley-Putnam University and served as its first President from 2004-2011, the only online accredited school in the world granting Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Strategic Security & Protection Management, Intelligence Management and Terrorism/Counterterrorism Studies as well as a Doctorate in Strategic Security.


Jane Bryson, Ph.D.

Dr. Jane Bryson is a clinical psychologist with extensive forensic experience, especially in Family Law. She founded and directed Trauma Consultants, a nationwide organization of psychologists and mental health professionals providing assistance to work groups exposed to critical incidents including robberies, threats, assaults, accidents, sudden employee deaths, and disasters. Dr. Bryson was also the Co-director of the Children and Families of Divorce Programs at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Bryson now serves as the clinical consultant to The Workthreat Group.


Dr. Bryson specializes in psychological assessments, individual counseling, mediation, and legal consultations. She has extensive crisis intervention skills dealing with threats, assaults, stalking, bomb threats, and employee deaths. Dr. Bryson is a highly respected trainer and consultant in crisis management for many institutions, including several Fortune 500 companies.


Sheri Long, MS, MFT, CEAP

Crisis Response Specialist

Spanish Consultant


Ms. Long is the founder and bilingual consultant of Amigos At Work, an international consulting and training firm that shows companies how to enhance the performance of their Spanish speaking workforce to increase productivity. As a therapist and certified employee assistance professional (CEAP), Ms. Long conducts Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD) in Spanish and English for The Workthreat Group that enables employees to resume normal job performance quickly with minimal disruption to business.


She also assists in threat assessments involving the Spanish speaking workforce as well as Fitness-for-Duty evaluations. Her Management Training for Latino Leaders program reduces companies' risk of liability resulting from intercultural conflicts.


J. Branch Walton

Security/Protection Expert

J. Branch Walton is a well-known speaker and author on workplace violence, executive protection, identity theft, school safety and other security topics. He retired from the United States Secret Service after a 21-year career and has 40 years of experience in law enforcement and training/adult education in security and other related topics. He also served as the Chief of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s (FLETC) Management Institute, criminal justice instructor at Indiana University at Bloomington, IN., and is the past President of the National Association for Bank Security-Profit Protection, LLC, a company specializing in security and compliance training for the banking industry.


Currently, Mr. Walton is an Associate Dean of Student Services, Henley-Putnam University, an on-line university specializing in intelligence, protection management, terrorism and counter-terrorism studies. Just prior to this he was the Airport Manager of Operations Training at Ft Lauderdale-Hollywood -International Airport. Mr. Walton also currently serves as a Senior Consultant to Security Services International, Inc. located in Newark, DE.


Garnett S. Williams

GWilliamsMr. Williams brings over 20 years with the United States Secret Service where he provided personal protection and security services for Presidents and ranking dignitaries. He also served as an instructor at the Secret Service Academy, focusing on executive protection and physical security operations and was also a pioneer in the early enforcement of federal statues related to telecommunications and computer fraud.


Since coming to the private sector in 1988, Mr. Williams has worked with law firms,financial institutions and major corporations, designing and implementing preventative measures to combat corporate and financial crime. His areas of specialized practice include litigation support, financial fraud investigations, due diligence, asset identification and seizure, physical security and executive protection programs, crisis management, technology infringement, intellectual property protection and counterintelligence programs.
